The "TARE" function serves to reset the weight to zero when using cloth diapers, towels, tea towels, etc. The weight is displayed on a large and easy-to-read display. In case of inactivity, the scale turns itself off. The smooth surface makes cleaning really easy. Just wipe the scale with a damp cloth. Power is provided by 2 AAA 1.5 V batteries, which are included in the package.
